How we helped a bike retailer & insurance replacement provider triple their turnover


Jeremy provided the Virtual External FD service for the first year of so of this project and then was asked to join the Companies as the Finance Director – the bike retailer was a fast growing primarily working through e-commerce to consumers alongside a B2B division dealing with Insurance Cos for replacement cycles and related equipment.

These businesses grew rapidly, E-commerce arm turnover trebled in 3 years from £10M to £30M while B2B division turnover doubled over 3 years from £17M to £34M. Jeremy established systems and procedures to enable management to have adequate & effective MI to better understand their growing businesses whilst also ensuring there was appropriate banking and funding in place to fuel the growth – Overall facilities in excess of £1M put in place. Jeremy was then tasked in preparing the businesses for sale, producing Information Memoranda (IM) to go out to prospective acquirers and he managed the Due Diligence (DD) process as part of the successful acquisition by FTSE 250 Group in May 2016.

Jeremy continued with the business for 2 years post-acquisition and was the local director responsible for Finance, HR, IT Infrastructure alongside Warehousing & Distribution operations.
